My mother-in-law is the most amazing canner! She has taken me under her wing since Rob & I were married, and helped/taught me to can. We have done a variety of different things and I still have so much to learn.
Last week, she offered me tons of tomatoes from her garden to can salsa, but then told me she was going to be gone so she couldn't help me. What? Can on my own?!
She entrusted me with her canning supplies and I left as a lone student feeling a little nervous!
It went really well though!
Other than having to reprocess half of them because Rob thought he was supposed to push the tops down after I'd taken the cans out of the boiling water bath ('bout killed him!).
I was proud of myself for doing something so "homemakerish!"
But....I definitely missed my teacher!

That's awesome Linds! I wish I could can! I miss doing that with my fam! Oh and HAHA about Rob pushing the tops down.. I probably would have about killed him too ;)
Linds, I am so proud of you! I have yet to "can" by myself. I am such a "team canner" as Blake would say. Good Job! Looks delicious.
Way to go, Linds! That's awesome. I didn't can one bit this year and just went down to grab a jar of salsa the other day only to find that I only have 2 jars left! Oops!! Guess I'll HAVE to can next year.
Remember our canning adventure. Yeah, not the best peaches we've ever done. But it was fun!
