Last year in October, I dressed Drake in his Lion Halloween costume and my mom, sisters and I had a Girl's trip + Drake to Gardner Village in SLC.
We had such a great time, that we decided to make it an annual tradition.
This year, we took Mickey Mouse!!!
(I debated posting these pictures before Halloween because I didn't want to spoil things and show off his cute costume, but I decided that's stupid. So here is Drake's Halloween costume debut! He's going to have big yellow shoes for Halloween- I think they'll really complete his costume.)
I can't explain just how fun it was to dress Drake up as his absolute favorite character!
When I showed him himself in the mirror, his eyes got so big! He knew exactly who he was- "Mickey!"
He was so excited about it! He loved wearing the ears and played the part so well. He kept singing the Hot Dog Song and jumping up and down.
Everyone wanted a picture with Mickey, of course! And doesn't Hannah make the most angelic Angel?
(This was the very first time Drake has ever been excited about taking pictures. He stood still for several minutes saying "Cheeeeeeese!" So cute!")

We ate at Archibald's, wandered through the many beautiful shops, sampled the divine fudge, counted pumpkins, admired the adorable witches, and walked until I had blistered feet.
(And I have to be honest and admit that I got really grumpy at the end. My excuse is that I had worked a night shift and only had 4 hours of sleep.)

Oh, I forgot to mention that this Mickey Mouse costume was worn by my 27 year old cousin Nate when he was Drake's age. Fun, huh! Thanks to Christie for holding onto it and letting us borrow it! And thanks to Brookie for letting us borrow the ears. (We actually ordered the exact ones for Drake the night we got home because he loves them so much and won't stop wearing them)

First of all, where in the world is Katelyn? Drake is so cute, as always, and I loved seeing Gardner Village. Oh how I miss going there. That was a family tradition for 6 years. Thanks for sharing your blog!
