December is CRAZY busy and CRAZY fun!
The weekends are especially a blast!
Friday night was my Mother/Baby work Christmas party and look who showed up!
I tried to talk about Santa with Drake all day long, telling him that he would bring him treats so that he wouldn't be scared. It worked!
He got SO excited when Santa came in the room and couldn't stop staring.
He walked up to Santa holding Daddy's hand and sat right on his lap. The conversation went-
Santa- "What would you like for Christmas little boy?"
Drake- "Cars"
Santa- "Do you want a big car or a small car?"
Drake- "BIG car!"
Santa- "What color of car?"
Drake- "Blue."
Santa- "Do you want a big car or a small car?"
Drake- "BIG car!"
Santa- "What color of car?"
Drake- "Blue."
Santa- "Have you been a good boy?"
Drake- "Yeah."
Drake- "Yeah."
Then, Santa handed him a candy-cane and Drake jumped right down and devoured it. I was proud of him!
It's yet to be decided if Robert has been a good boy or a naughty boy.
After the party, my mom took Drake and Rob & I went to a play with Rob's parents. This has become a really fun tradition. They usually take us to a play or concert every year and we are so thankful!
This year, we saw the new Pickleville Playhouse Christmas show- 12.25. It was AMAZING and I highly recommend it! It was hilarious, but also had a wonderful message. I laughed hysterically, but also cried. It was fun to see our friend from college Sharli King in it too!
(As a side-note, Calvin & Nancy are going on another mission and they are expecting their call to come this week. We are so excited, but have to admit that it's a bit bittersweet!)
Saturday was our Payne Family Christmas party. My Aunt Becky did a great job planning it- we had food, bingo, a pinata, Santa, and lots of basketball and playing. It was at a school gym so the kids could run and play with the balls and Drake was in heaven. Grandma also gave him some new cars as a present!
On Sunday, I made my boys some yummy Santa Pancakes (got off Pinterest).
I think these little things make the holidays fun!
As Drake was eating, he was saying, "I eat Santa!"
I know I already put this story on Facebook, but for journaling purposes I'm putting it here too-
On Saturday before the Payne party, we went to the South Town Expo Center in SLC for my sister Katelyn's cheerleading competition. Drake found a cute little girl to play with in the lobby. They had been running around chasing each other and laughing and giggling for about 15 minutes. She was chasing him and suddenly Drake stopped and turned around. She ran right up to him. He looked at her and smiled and then gave her a huge KISS right on the mouth. I about died! Thankfully, the girl's mom started laughing so I did too. I still couldn't believe he had thought to do that though. We are in trouble!
And that was our CRAZY CHRISTMAS Weekend!
This week we have our Ward Christmas Party and our Rose Family Christmas Party
Then Drake's birthday is next Tuesday! Then....Christmas!

Better keep Drake away from the ladies :) Haha!
Linds, you are such a cute mom!!! I love the santa pancakes. I wish my December was as eventful as yours :) it sounds like SO much fun! My vote is that Rob is on the naughty list for teaching Drake to kiss girls (LOL) but really that is too stinkin cute!

That is so funny!! I'm already worried about Bella-- she's a kisser! Love the pancakes, I just got pinterest, i don't know how to use it very good- send me an e-mail on any tips (bayleecarroll@gmail.com) Love the Idea, I'm going to try them tomorrow :)
Did Robby ask for a Red Rider BB Gun?
I love those Santa pancakes. We had Christmas tree waffles for breakfast this morning (without the green food coloring). I was making waffles and thought, it's the little things that make the holidays special. I got out the whipped cream, blueberries, and pomegranates and decorated the trees. It seriously took about 3 seconds and made a school morning festive and fun.
I'm really excited to spend some time with you on Saturday!
