This is our New House!

Welcome to a guided tour of our new home!
(Kinda long and detailed but we wanted our family out of state to be able to see details)

This picture was taken back in November as you can tell by the thousands of leaves on the ground.
What a mess, but kind of fun to clean up!
The tree in front of our house was BEAUTIFUL in the fall with orange & yellow leaves.
It's very bare now...
My sweet niece Jessica in the background helped me rake all of those leaves up while Rob was out of town.
The yard is absolutely beautiful in the summer.
The previous owners did an amazing job!
I'll have to take a picture of it next year to show you.
Come on in! This is the entryway...
Directly to the right, you will find our kitchen. I am absolutely in love with our appliances and our new side-by-side door fridge. I also love the stainless steel sink- so much easier to clean up and hard to tell if it's dirty which is always a plus. The countertops are great for that same purpose. Although, almost too good! I honestly cannot tell if the counter is dirty and I have a huge fetish for dirty countertops. So, I end up wiping it off many more times than is needed everyday just because I can't remember if I've done it or I can't tell if it's dirty- haha! Also, tile floor! Such an upgrade from linoleum at our old place!
Standing in the entryway, you will find the family room to the right and the stairs in front of you to the 2nd level.
The grandma-gold mirror is going to be painted espresso as soon as I find the time.
From the family room, a giant glass door leads to our backyard. The backyard is one of our favorite features and definitely one of the reasons we bought the house. Once again, what a terrible time of year to take a picture of the yard, but it's just stunning in the summer! We have a big treehouse and sandbox for Drake (planning to paint it in the summer), garden boxes, shed, basketball hoop, swingsuit, covered cement patio, 3 giant trees that produce great shade, and a large lawn area to play in.
Oooh...I can't wait for spring so we can PLAY, PLAY, PLAY!
Now back to the house...
Turn left at the entryway and you'll find the hallway to our bedrooms.
Walking down the hallway now...
to the left is the main bathroom. Isn't my house model cute?!
To the right is an office/single bedroom (or the Pepto-Bismol room as Rob calls it). The previous owners had it decorated pink for a little girl. We'll repaint eventually when we have another child, but it works for now.
Farther down the hall and to the right is Drakey's room!
I love having his room right across from us.
And at the end of the hallway and to the left is our Master Bedroom.
Love the separate closets!
I'm not in love with the decor, but I just put up what we have for now and I'll work on it over the years.
Master bathroom connects to the master bedroom.

Upstairs is another family room and fireplace. It will probably be our kids playroom eventually.
There is also a storage closet and a BIG guest bedroom and connecting guest bathroom so PLEASE, DO COME VISIT!

As you can see, this is the stash-everything-until-after-the-Christmas-holidays room right now instead of the upstairs family room/play room.
Aren't you envious of THIS giant project?
Rob and his mom did do an amazing job of painting this room though!
It will look great once it's put together.
Some of my favorite things about the home that aren't mentioned previously:

1. Having the kitchen, family room, bedrooms, and laundry room all on the same level. Wonderful!
2. The black kitchen appliances and the perfection with which they work.
2. This cupboard rocks! It manages to hold all the things that I had such a hard time keeping organized before into lovely organized slots. Love it!
4. A connecting garage. So great!
5. I love this area under the stairs. It's not visible when standing in the entryway so I can stash all of Drake's toys under it without making the family room look like a mess.
6. Large sliding glass doors. Let a great flow of light in during the day and make the home feel very open.
7. Finally got a gate and a cute little prisoner behind it! Drake loves the new house especially all the room he has now to play and crawl around.

We still have a lot of improvements to make and projects to work on, but we love how things are coming along! Everyone in our neighborhood and ward has been so welcoming. We're working on making friends and meeting people, but those things just take time.

These pictures are all from about a month ago. Our house is festive and Christmasy now! I'll have to put some photos of the fun decorations up another day.
Hope you enjoyed the tour!
We'd love to have visitors- We have room now!!

Lindsay your house is so cute! How fun. It makes me miss all the space in Utah. Here the houses are side by side and there is usually very small lawn space. I am happy for you that you have such a fun home.
