Our St. George trip was truly, nothing short of fantastic.
I had a blast. The kids had a ball. And it was so great to be with the family at our home away from home in St. George.
(We did have one large speed bump when we got to our timeshare house on Wednesday evening and discovered another group thought they were staying there. To make a long story short, we found a different place to stay and ended up at my cousin-in-law's parents house (Nielsen's home). We were so grateful that they let us stay there and we were lucky that it wasn't booked that week. It ended up being a great place, and although we missed being in our normal spot, we made it work just fine!)
Back to the fun stuff!
I've been looking forward to this trip because I was excited to spend time with my family outside of Tremonton. When we go home to visit my sisters and parents, they still have their busy lives going on, but with ALL of us being on vacation, we had so much time to spend together as a family...wonderful!
DAY 1
Thursday morning was warm and sunny and Drake got outside to enjoy it all before his jammies were even off (on his new scooter too).
First stop- the pool!
I die over her...
and him...
and her!
^^^I didn't mention that Whitty (who's at school in Cedar City) joined us for a lot of the time!
Sara loves her Grandma Sheri
Oh, how Drake loved to lead/pull/drag Savannah everywhere.
Vanna loves Drake right back so it worked out great!
Totally staged pictures, but super cute nonetheless!
We stayed at the pool for awhile just relaxing, then went home to get ready for dinner and some shopping. Per requirement whenever these two are together, MATCHING OUTFITS! Haha
^^I just love their every expression, so I shared them all!
One of the best (if not the best) things about St. George is its food- so many restaurants everywhere..so much AMAZING food!
So, I'll be talking about that quite a bit probably.
Dinner- Pizza Factory...ohhhhh yum!
Afterwards, we walked around downtown St. George window shopping and admiring the antique stores. We finished the night off with a trip to SWIG for my very first time! I thought the major hype over it would make my expectation much to high and ruin it for me, but that MOST definitely did not happen. I ate a cookie that I believe came straight from heaven and the yummiest soda I've ever had. Wow! (Swig would, from there on out, be attended every single day, but Sunday on our trip).
DAY 2
I have no pictures from this day because we shopped until we dropped at the mall. We met the guys at Smashburger for lunch. Ty was so great to take Drake for the day- he took him on a bike-ride, played golf with him, and watched movies so that they both wouldn't have to come shopping. It was a win-win for all of us! That night, we met for dinner at an amazing Mexican restaurant just a block from our house.
On this day though, these two did this and we all sighed over the cuteness-
