Our family had a fantastic Easter this year! Drake was so excited- he didn't stop talking about it the whole week before. He couldn't wait for the Easter bunny to come, but also showed so much interest in Jesus and what the true meaning of Easter is. It made for some really great teaching moments the week leading up to Easter. We talked about Christ and the resurrection (in our house, the Easter Bunny brings us gifts to help us remember the gift that Jesus gave us). And, we so enjoyed watching Bible videos, You-tube videos, and especially the "Because of Him" video that was featured on lds.org (watch here). Our family has been going through some hard things and the Easter season couldn't have come at a better time. Focusing on Christ is what is most important and has brought us the most peace and comfort.
The kids were so darn cute Sunday morning. The silly Easter bunny left a trail of jelly-beans from Drake's bed into his closet where a new hula-hoop was waiting for him (this was the #1 thing he wanted for Easter- who knows why? ha). Drake hunted and hunted for his basket and when he found it shouted "new underwear!" haha.
When Sara woke up she had fun emptying her basket and loving all the attention we were giving her.
We relaxed, played with the new little toys and treats, had breakfast together, and then of course, had a wonderful time at church.

These kiddos (and the guy behind the camera) are my whole world.
I'm so thankful for my testimony of Jesus Christ. I know that he lived, suffered for my sins, and died for me.
We took the camera to church with a plan to have someone take a picture of all 4 of us, but completely forgot. I'm bummed. We'll try again another Sunday.
