Glimpses of Daily Life (June)

Our favorite snapshots & highlights from the month of June (that weren't mentioned in previous posts):

Drake gave his FIRST TALK in Primary! He was asked to talk on Baptism. He talked about Jesus being baptized and how we are supposed to follow Jesus' example. He talked about how wrong choices make us sad, but good choices make us happy and if we are baptized like Jesus was, all our wrong choices can be washed away and we can be clean and pure (which he pronounced "poor" and it was so adorable). He talked about how he can't wait to be baptized when he is 8 years old. Then he showed a picture of his Uncle Hunter on his mission at a baptism. Drake said every single word perfectly like we'd practiced and was so brave to stand up in front of everyone. It was definitely one of our favorite moments with him!

Mommy is getting more and more pregnant and we spent a lot of days just relaxing around the house in our jammies watching movies.
The local Farmer's Market started up in June and we had a great time going on a Friday night- Mom finally got her much craved snow cone and Drake got soaking wet in the splash pad. Perfect medicine for a HOT, summer night.
June had some HOOOOT days and the only way to get through them was to be outside getting wet.
In the middle of the month, Grandpa Bob came out to work and stayed with us for a few days. We didn't see him much, but loved the time we did get to spend together. This is a typical morning with Grandpa around- I wonder who drank more of that Diet Coke?? :)

Rob went to Scout Camp for a week in June. Drake and I played lots and even went on a "date"! We went miniature golfing, had dinner at Chili's, and then cuddled and watched a movie at home. We snapped pics of each other at our Chili's dinner.
As you can see though, these boys were pretty excited to see each other after Scout Camp! A friend from the ward snapped this great picture.

My cousin Michelle and her husband Chris invited us for a barbeque and pool party one Saturday evening. We've been wanting to spend time with them since moving here and it was so fun to finally do it. The weather was gorgeous for swimming and the food was delish!
One day, I got lots of cuddling from Drake which then turned into Drake wanting to be my hairdresser....Ouch!
I hit weeks 30-33 of my pregnancy in June and officially my wardrobe became way too tight and uncomfortable....so, I shopped from Rob's closet when I wanted to feel comfy.
We started getting things out for the baby girl and putting them together. To Drake, this is like Christmas with lots of fun, interesting toys to play with. He is getting really excited for his little sister and loves to play "babies" with his stuffed animals. It's the sweetest thing.
This is his new wardrobe as well-- too hot for anything else! :)
Drake turned 3 1/2 on June 20th. He's getting so big and so tall!
We love this boy so much.
At the end of the month, we tried out a quaint new restaurant in Marin. It was a beautiful night with refreshing, healthy food and so wonderful to be together as a family.
And a few other things in June-
Rob's company had a huge audit which meant many long working days and stress preparing for it. Everything went great though and he was so happy to get that out of the way!
Oh, and the big highlight for Rob- The Miami Heat won the NBA championship!

Happy July!
