Thanksgiving with the Eyre Family

This last Thanksgiving was our first away from home. We didn't let ourselves be sad about it though and planned on having a little dinner to ourselves or going to a neighbor's house, but then Rob's sweet Aunt Hedy invited us to Thanksgiving at their home in Fremont!
We jumped for joy and said YES! YES! YES! We'd love to come!

I've only had the chance to meet Aunt Hedy and Uncle Chris twice, but they sure didn't make me feel that way. Aunt Hedy squeezed me so tight and gave me a kiss on the cheek and praised us for making the drive to come to their home. I couldn't believe her warmth and kindness when she was the one who had done something for us.

It was such a fantastic day- lots of different families and friends were there and we met lots of people, but it was just so comfortable, that by the end of the day, we felt like family to all. We were extremely thankful this Thanksgiving, that's for sure!

I won't say much about this house because it's not mine to talk about, but holy cow, it's a mansion and incredible and I was in awe of the beauty around us!
We thought this tree was really cool and definitely very old-
There were lots of little kids and loads of toys for our little buddy to entertain himself-
Rob's cousin's darling girls-
Uncle Chris cutting the turkey, the most important job!
After an AMAZING dinner, there was games, visiting, and face-painting!
These little girls loved Robert and he was so sweet to them-
Rob's cousin with what could be a tree on his face or possibly a murder scene. It was a good laugh!

And that was our fantastic first Thanksgiving in California!
