Football, Babies, Apostles, Pretty Dresses, Pumpkins, Inspiration, and Guns...
...that would describe our WEEKEND!
And OOOOOHHHH, it was a fun one!
It was Homecoming at Bear River and Conference Weekend, so Drake & I headed to Tremonton to spend time with the fam all weekend long.
We loved being involved in the Homecoming festivities since my sister is a cute BR cheerleader and my sweet "adopted" sister Celestial cheers too!
We had fun freezing and cheering on Katie & Celestial in the Powder Puff game-
And again at the motorcade parade (with huge fire trucks that Drake loved).
Then we went to the big homecoming football game where the girls did a fabulous routine at half-time and the Bears defeated Grantsville! (I only wish I knew any of the kids that play)
These games are my favorite with rows full of my family and friends, sweet babies to hold, noise-makers for the kids, cute cheerleaders to watch, and a little boy who loves football!
ONCE A BEAR, ALWAYS A BEAR! :)
Of course, Saturday morning brought the beginning of blessed Conference.
And wasn't it just incredible!?
I must admit that I was a bit more focused on Saturday and got so much out of the talks. And how about that giant announcement of the lowered eligibility age for missionaries!? It was pretty neat to immediately feel a warmth in my heart when that was announced. I knew it was inspired. Many of the talks on Saturday hit me to the core and strengthened me. I went into this conference hoping to feel an overall calmness and peacefulness about all that is about to happen in this next month as we move, and I got exactly that, plus much more.
The girls had their very first dance on Saturday night and it was so fun to be there while they got ready.
They both looked stunning!
(I can't believe Katie is old enough to be doing this stuff. What!?)
While the girls attended the dance, and the boys priesthood,
Hannah, Mom, Drake, and I had our own fun painting pumpkins!

Sunday was filled with more uplifting and inspired messages from our leaders.
Mom made monkey bread for breakfast and Dad made a tent in the family room like the people did in ancient times to listen to King Benjamin- all wonderful Conference traditions.
(Too bad I found myself sick today and could hardly keep my eyes open. I'm totally guilty of falling asleep a few times! Hooray for DVR- I'm looking forward to watching those I missed and re-watching my favorites this week.)
In between sessions, Dad ran us down to Grandpa's pond to shoot guns and get some fresh air.
Drake was in heaven with his Bompa Bob.
The whole weekend was so great and I loved being with my family.
We missed Rob tons, but Skyped with him tonight to make up for it.
Tons of fun packed into a few short days and I'm pooped...Time. For. Bed. Night!

Yes conference was awesome! I love when it comes around and it goes way too fast. Not only the messages from prophets and apostles but good times with the family. It is the best!
