We started off our *Fall Bucket List* by heading to the Hogle Zoo today!
Drake was so excited to see all the animals and he's at the perfect age to eat everything up.
He had a great time, but I have to admit that the adults were somewhat disappointed.
What happened to so many of the animals at Hogle Zoo?
It seemed so bare! Some of this has to do with the remodeling they are doing, but still- where are the camels, zebras, deer, buffalo, birds, hippos, lions, penguins?
What animals they did have were mostly sleeping! We just had some bad luck, I guess.
We still saw some really fun things including a new, baby giraffe. Cutest!
Drake thought playing on the animal statues was pretty awesome.
And although he told me ALL day yesterday that he did NOT want to see any snakes, they were all he could talk about at the zoo and where he spent most of his time once he realized they were behind glass.
There was also some major ROARING at the bears.
Add a carousel ride and some cool souvenirs from Grandma Sheri and I'd call it a PERFECT day for a 2 1/2 year old!

He likes the snakes now cus I told him they were nice and liked when little boys come visit them! :)
Fun day! Glad Drake enjoyed it, even if it wasn't the best zoo day!
