Jessica's Little All-Star Shower

It was so fun and exciting to throw another shower last Saturday for one of my best friends from high school. Jessica is having a BOY and is due in just a couple of weeks! I am so glad she was able to make it home from New Zealand (where her husband has been playing professional basketball) so that she could have her baby in America AND so that we could throw her a shower of course!

Since Jess & Gary are MAJOR BASKETBALL FANS, I decided to go with a BASKETBALL theme. I had a great time making all kinds of basketball things- rice krispie treats, oranges, cupcakes, decorations, etc. (I think I'm going to have to do this theme again for Drake's birthday. It was just so fun!)
Thanks so much to Tory, Brooke D., and Jess' mom Mary Ann for the help!

Jess has a little BASKETBALL herself there! She looks so darling and literally looks like she stuffed a basketball in her shirt- just tiny! She is posing by her husband's jersey!
Jess' friend Beck, Jess, Me, Staci, & Drake
(Why didn't we take a pic at the beginning of the shower when I looked somewhat presentable?! eek!)
It was a really fun shower and everyone ended up staying for quite a while just to visit and I LOVED it! I have missed this girl so much! Jess, I wish we were next door neighbors! Good luck with your little guy! I love ya!

I had to throw this picture in here so you can see the that I obviously deserve Mother-of-the-Year.
This is what a good mom does at 8:30pm (past bedtime) when she is trying to clean, bake, and get everything ready for a shower in the morning.
Just keep handing him chocolate...

2: You look more than presentable in that picture.

3: Whatever helps you get things done is a-okay with me!!! He's a cute little chocolate face.

I love the pic of drake for 2 reasons 1-it makes me feel better that you feed your kid chocolate sometimes after bedtime too and 2-I have come to the realization that sometimes thats what moms of the years do because kids have to be kids sometimes.

Linds, I will take credit for the chocolate fedish that Drake seems to have. I will stay up past my bedtime too if you give me chocolate!!! You are an amazing mother who knows how to multi-task. I also think you should be a professional party planner! What a cute idea, loved it all, your friends are super lucky to have you.
