Glimpses of Daily Life (July-now)

Well, baby oh baby, I so wish I was blogging about a new baby today, but alas, she is not wanting to come out yet. :)

So instead, I'll update on the last month!

Drake has such an obsession with super heroes lately. When he first started liking them, I thought Lame-o! But now, it's actually really fun. I truly love having a boy and all the crazy boyish things that comes with it.

Date night in Petaluma-

 I've been terrible with belly pics this pregnancy (mostly because I never get ready), but snapped one at 36 weeks on the day I spent washing and putting away clothes in the nursery. Mmmm...that smell brings back such wonderful memories of Drake as a newborn and I'm so thrilled to have another one soon. (Thanks Dreft!)

 Last week, my niece Claire came to stay with us for a couple days to help me out with Drake (due to his leg in a splint) and give me a break. Thank you so so much Claire! She watched Drake one afternoon while I got a pedicure- heaven! On the same day, my friend Laura brought me Cafe Rio! Her hubby had brought it home for me from the SLC airport- that is TRUE friendship! It was a perfect day to say the least! 

 This last week, Rob took his young men group to the Oakland temple to do baptisms for the dead and to enjoy the temple grounds. He loves his calling and I loved this picture that he captured.

This was a fun day with Drake! We had a crazy weird morning where I got frustrated over a project, so we finally just left the house and got ice cream. It made us both very happy. :) Later, he wrote the whole alphabet by himself looking at the alphabet I'd written out for him. It was so exciting! Whenever parents show off their kids writing or artwork, I think to myself "Big Woop!", but when it's your own kid and you know how far they've come, you have these overwhelming proud parent moments where you think your child is a complete GENIUS! haha I'll try to be a little more excited for others now!

 And the most recent belly pic. Oh baby, we are soooooo extremely ready for you to come. I'm ready to breathe again and not be in pain, Drake is ready to have his fun mom back and wonders if his sister is ever really going to come out, and Rob is ready to have his wife back and of course, meet his little girl. It's been a long, hard pregnancy, but we are so excited to meet her! Due date is on Monday- we hope things happen soon!!!

Rob has picked up the slack in every way and I'm just so grateful for him. I love my two boys and it's surreal that we are about to have another child. Stay tuned...
