Welcoming Miss Savannah Rose

I went to Utah at the end of February for the long-awaited big day of my little sister Staci having her baby. Oh my goodness, I was so excited!

Staci was in labor for 24 HOURS. Poor thing. She was such a trooper though. Family stayed through the night with her and into the next day lounging on the couches, floor, and lobby chairs. She had so much support!
On the evening of February 28th, it was finally time for sweet Savannah to come. She arrived at 5:54 PM (we even got a picture of her with that time in the background!)
It was such an honor and a privilege to be a part of this amazing moment in Staci and Ty's life.
I was honored that they asked me to photograph and be there for Savannah's birth.
It was spiritual, miraculous, emotional, and just completely amazing.
Second to experiencing it yourself, there is nothing like watching a sweet baby come into the world.
Completely incredible.

We all fell in love with Savannah in an instant. I love her like she could be my own.

(I look forward to the day that I will actually have take the time to get to know how to use my camera off of automatic, so I know these pictures are nothing compared to others, but I'm still proud of the moments that we were able to capture. I love them mostly in simple black and white to capture their emotions.
What an amazing day!)

!!!WARNING: There are a few pictures of Savvy right after birth that may be too graphic for some people!!!
