Last week was our Hunsaker Family Reunion in Ashton, ID!
(Near Island Park)
This is the gorgeous cabin we arrived at Tuesday evening!
It was beautiful and modern with a theater room, ping-pong table, pool table, beds for 30, hot tub, and more.
It was so amazing to be with all of our Hunsaker family. We live spread out all over the U.S. and only get together with everyone every other year, so the time we get to spend all together is priceless!
Drake quickly warmed up to his cousins and then followed them around the whole rest of the time.
Drake's favorite place to play- the balcony on the 2nd floor that overlooked the entire family room.
Family Resemblance?

Everyone arrived Tuesday afternoon/evening and got settled in. We had a fabulous dinner (all the meals were delicious!) and then played a hilarious Minute to Win It game that Amy put together.
(Left to Right, Top to Bottom: Rob trying to stack 6 dice on a popsicle stick in his mouth; teams putting a cereal box puzzle together; Amy & Tina conducting games- they planned the reunion and did such a great job; Nicole & Katie trying to unroll a toilet paper roll the fastest; Lizzie & I trying to move a cookie from our forehead to our mouth by only using our facial muscles; teams balancing 3 chapsticks with chopsticks; Drake getting a kick out of the balloons; teams stacking 3 golf balls on top of each other; teams threading dental loss through several needles; more cookie moving by Bryant & Dev- the champ; Ellie Anna & Emma going nuts in all the toilet paper)
Did you follow all that?? :)
On Wednesday, Grandma & Grandpa started the morning out with some fishing in the river behind the lodge and took Collin & Drake along.
Beautiful girls- Tina & Baby Lucy watching the fishing
Luke caught a fish! (Luke was hilarious and continued to try and try
for the next several days to catch more fish. He really loved it!)
Ross doing some ultimate fishing. It was absolutely gorgeous here!
My cutie pie discovering the outdoors
We then went on a river rafting trip down the lazy river by our lodge!
The river moved pretty slow, but it was such a beautiful view and I had Ellie Anna & Emma in my boat to keep me laughing- 3 and 4 has got to be the funniest age ever.
We did a lot of playing outside on this day, played games inside, hot tubbed, visited, and just relaxed- so nice!
HIPPIE GRANDPA hanging out in the cabin
Devanie's hair is GORGEOUS, but maybe not so much on Grandpa!
Really, the only hard thing on this trip was the bugs. Since summer came later this year, the mayflies were terrible. We constantly had bugs swarming around us and landing on us. It was bearable though and we still had such a great time outside.
Roasting smores Wednesday night
On Thursday, we went on a beautiful hike (and I can't seem to remember the name of it).
We followed a river with giant rapids- seriously it was insane!
Look at this incredible forest!
The surroundings were so gorgeous, the only problem was that the bugs were terrible! Thank goodness for mosquito spray. When I was walking behind Rob & Drake, I could honestly see a cloud of mosquitoes surrounding Drakers- YUCK.
Insane rapids! And this was when I notice Luke sitting in a very dangerous zone!
Our incredible view while driving back to the cabin-
It's hard to see, but this fields were full of purple and yellow wildflowers.
Mommy & Drake cooling down in the "hot" tub after our hike
Thursday night, Tina hosted FAMILY OLYMPICS! We did all kinds of activities and had SO much fun!
Drake was content with just his golf ball and club the entire trip. Jason was nice enough to be his caddy!
Beautiful Jen & Claire- love these two so much!
Ellie Anna dodging Drake's mean hits
And of course, every night ended with a delicious treat!
It feels like the reunion came and went so fast, and we are so bummed it's over. Spending time with family was wonderful and we are so thankful for all the time and effort Amy & Tina put into planning it- Thanks for a wonderful time everyone!!!
On our way home on Friday, we stopped at Bear World
Well, wasn't this just a hidden wonder!
(Thanks Ross & Elaine for the discount tickets)

I had never even heard of it and it was such a fun place to take Drake!
It's a huge open park that you drive through and see tons of wildlife. First we saw deer, elk, and a neat rare white elk. We then drove into the bear part thinking we might see a few bears. Oh no, we saw tons! I'd say at least 20 bears! Since you can only drive 5 mph, we put Drake up front with us and he had the greatest time pointing at all the bears and growling his little head off. It really was so fun for our little family!
At the end, there was all kinds of fun with rides, food, and a petting zoo.
Drake kept us laughing at the petting zoo.
He was fearless- walking up to each and every animal, petting it for 2 seconds, then walking off to find the next animal. The fawn was adorable.
I must say though, that the BABY BEARS were the very cutest! Can we take one home with us?
Well, if you stayed with me to the end of this post, thanks! That was a long vacation log.
Such a highlight of our summer!

Guess what? I read every single word. :)
We keep meaning to go to Bear World. We've got to do it.
