I just have to post how great my husband is. He truly knows me.
Today, as I suddenly freaked out about leaving Drake for a week and was sobbing feeling sick to my stomach and considering not going, he said-
"You are going to be sad and upset today.
You are going to cry tomorrow when you leave him and it's going to be really hard.
You are going to be sad on the plane.
Then, when we get to Cancun and you are laying on the beach with no worries,
you are going to turn to me and say 'I'm so glad we left Drake'
We'll have a great time and we'll miss him lots.
But, he will be having so much fun with his grandma and grandpa.
Then, we'll come home and he'll be so excited to see us.
And we'll be better parents for going."
I love you sweetie!
Thanks for making me realize that we need this for "us" and Drake will be just fine. I feel so much better.
And thank you to my in-laws for being the type of grandparents that I have no worries leaving Drake with, knowing he is going to have so much fun!

Wow! That brings back memories of Greg's and my one and only exotic vacation some 17 years ago! Have a ball! The blue of the Caribbean is breathtaking!
youll have to let me know how it goes and what helped you, i have yet to leave my kids and its been almost 3 years. sad. im pathetic. but i too agree that it is SO GOOD for you and rob to do things yourself. how blessed you are for living close enough to family for that to happen! have TONS of fun! i must say i am quite jealous!

Sometimes only the husbands words make things better :) I'm excited for you guys! You're going to have a GREAT time!! Be sure to wear sunscreen! Remember my HORRIBLE sunburn that I got on my chest? I showed it to you in the hospital when Drake was born?! That was in Cancun.. haha
HOW FUN! That is something that I wish Wade and I did more of...just "US" vacations! Enjoy your time with your hubby!

He's right, you know. There will come a moment somewhere in the middle of your vacation where you'll look at Rob and say, "Now, what's our child's name again?" Just kidding, but it will be so good. So, So, So Good.

I LOVE CANCUN!! Have a great time and don't worry about little Drake! (hahahah) I totally worry about my kids the entire time I'm gone but it's getting a little easier to leave them. Just go and enjoy!
