We Love to Play!

My Little Guy
LOVES TO PLAY!

Playing with mom's computer
Drake always comes after my computer when I'm using it. He tries to pull the screen down or push the keys. He is so intrigued with it. I'm always moving it away from him and it makes him really mad. Last night, he was especially interested and determined to play with my computer. So finally, I opened up a Word document and let him go to town! He pounded on it until I didn't think my computer could take much more. He loved it!
 Playing with the Ball-Popper
I realized the other day that Drake never plays with his toys anymore. His toy collection consists of rattles, bells, and other infant-type toys and he is definitely growing out of them. So, Rob & I went shopping and found something a little more exciting for him.
 Playing with Friends
We were so lucky to join our Yorkshire friends last night for dinner at Texas Roadhouse for Jessica's birthday. Jess was nice enough to invite Drake to ride the saddle with her! His face doesn't show it, but he loves Jessica and always smiles and laughs at her.
 Playing at Grandma-Greats
Today, I joined my mom and sister for a quick visit to my Grandma's house in Park Valley. It was so wonderful to visit with her! I love her so much. Drake loved playing with her toys. He especially loved banging the pots and pans together and getting us to laugh at him.
Other things Drake loves to Play with:
Phones- he goes nuts when he sees a phone. He says "Kuh, kuh, kuh" and grabs it as fast as he can. I have no idea why he says this.
Towels- The bottom drawer in my kitchen holds all my kitchen towels and Drake loves to open the drawer, empty the drawer, and spread the towels around the kitchen.
Furniture- He pulls himself up to everything and walks around holding onto the furniture. I don't think it will be long until he is walking!
Sasha- Drake loves to chase after Sasha. He giggles while he is crawling as fast as he can to catch up with her. It's hilarious. He likes to take her toys from her and is learning how to play tug-a-war with her. No one makes Drake laugh like Sasha does.
Daddy- Daddy and Drake have lots of fun games. Drake's favorite is when Daddy crawls down the hall and hides in one of the rooms, then chases Drake when he is found.
Doors, Cupboards, Drawers- Drake loves to open and close all of the above which equals pinched fingers and bumped heads several times a day. He's learning.

And as a sidenote, Drake knows what the following are and can say:
"Uh-Oh" (when he drops something)
"Cha-Cha" (Sasha)
"Rar-Rar" (my dad's mounted cougar, mounted elk)
"Hello" (he can make the sound)
"Kuh-Kuh" (Something he wants)

We have so much fun
Playing Together!
(especially in our jammies!)

Just seeing those pictures of Grandma's house makes me homesick. Love 'em.
