I forgot to ever post pictures of Lake Powell in June. We went June 18-24th. This is always my favorite vacation of the year. As I've seen from some of your blogs, we are not the only ones who went to Lake Powell this year. Lots of people did! To bad we didn't all go at the same time!
My pictures are kind of boring. My dad had his nice camera and took pictures of the exciting stuff like skiing, tubing, and cliff jumping. But here's some shots of us relaxing which was probably the best part anyways.
I was nervous about taking Drake, but he was amazing! He always surprises me. Such a great baby! He just chilled the whole time (as you can see from the below picture).
This is my cousin Whitney and my sister Hannah relaxing on the front of the houseboat.
My sister Staci and her new husband Tyler going for a dip.
For Fathers Day, each family got up and presented 10 things that made their dad unique or things they loved about him. If you know my dad, it wasn't hard at all to come up with 10 unique things.
The Perry Family- Alex, Madison, Kari, and Rylie. Lynn is sitting down on the rocks. Matthew was on his mission.
Another reason I was nervous about taking Drake was because I didn't want to ruin anyone else's vacation. I was worried he might be really fussy, not sleep at night, and drive everyone crazy. He did none of that. He was so happy and smiley and just hung out acting as content as could be. The best was having SO much help from everyone! I was so pleasantly surprised with how willing everyone was to help! I felt like I truly was on vacation because everyone kept telling me "Leave and go have fun. I'll watch Drake". I spent a lot of time on the lake, the ski boat, and swimming because of the great help we had. I didn't expect to get to do any of that.
A huge shout-out to Kari, Aunt Christie, and of course my glorious mother! They spent a lot of their vacation helping me out and I appreciate them so much!
Also, this little gal right here was amazing! Before this trip, she nearly vomited any time Drake would so much as drool. By the end of the trip, she was wiping up his spit up and asking to change diapers. What a huge help! Drake loves his Aunt Whitty!
1. Skiing again after a 2 year hiatus. I was sure I wouldn't be able to slalom since it had been such a long time since I'd done it. Mitch kept teasing me that I wouldn't be able to and that I'd gotten soft over the years. It made me so mad that I fought so hard and easily got up the first time I tried. It felt great to rub it in his face!
2. Tubing wars- SCARY!
3. Facing my fears by jumping off a 70-ft. cliff! (ok maybe like 20 ft., but it felt really high)
4. Watching my family interact with Drake. I love that I'm the oldest girl of this group and had the first baby. He is so loved by all of them.
5. Reading a book.
6. Relaxing.
7. Swimming a mile each day to distant rocks and going on "adventures" :)
8. Eating to my hearts content.
9. The outstanding firework show! And then...My dad getting a ticket for lighting fireworks! haha so hilarious!
10. Projecting movies onto the rocks at night. Hunter & Dad created the coolest amphitheater.
11. Jet ski adventures with Rob, Kelley & Mitch
12. Family time!

I have never been to lake powell but it looks fun. Powell was another name that we thought would have been cool for Porter...LOL! Anyways I got the blue sand and walmart its pretty cheap. As far as baby sign goes, chris knows most of it since his brother was blind and deaf. We just teach words that are used most often like

I agree with everything Lake Powell is by far my favorite most relaxing place in the world and I was surprised how easy it was with a baby and all the help was wonderful for sure. Maybe someday all the couple will leave the kids home and we can all go together!!
