Bear River Basketball

Bear River Basketball ended in February.
We got our lives back, but it was also sad to end the season since we love basketball!
Rob's JV team ended the season with 13 wins and 7 losses and tied for Region Champs! Pretty awesome, if you ask me!

I'm so proud of Robert and all of the hard work he put into coaching! He loves it and he loves his team and it shows in the way he coaches them and becomes not only their mentor, but their friend.
Rob with his biggest fan...

The basketball banquet was on March 4th. Rob was very emotional. After, much thought and prayer, he decided this would be his last year coaching. It was a very hard decision for him since he has coached the same group of boys from their Freshmen to their Junior year and he really wanted to stay with them till the end of their high school career. Also, Bear River just got a new coach this year and he has become one of Rob's closest friends, and he really didn't want to leave him after just one year. But, with starting a new job and needing to pursue his career, he wouldn't have enough time to devote to basketball and he didn't want to do it if he couldn't give it everything.

Rob and Kasey Winters (BR head coach) I don't know ANYONE who loves basketball or coaching basketball more than my husband, so he really had a hard time announcing this decision to his team and their parents. He's going to still try to be involved by doing stats or other things and we'll for sure try to make it to as many games as possible.
It really was a great experience to be involved in Bear River basketball. Not to sound like a super senior, but I really do love my alma mater!! Bear River is a great school in a great city where there is huge support and lots of amazing fans! It was fun to stay involved in such a great program through Rob coaching! We will miss it and plan to do it again someday!

But, for now, it's time for some rest...
