Happy (late) Thanksgiving Everyone!
Hope yours was as great as ours!
We spent Thanksgiving with our California family- Mikal & Jenn & family in El Dorado Hills.
They've recently moved into a gorgeous new home and it was so fun to go see it all put together and then, of course, to spend time together and eat oodles of FOOD!
We headed up on Wednesday evening just in time for Thanksgiving the next day.
Drake & Sara looked so cute all dressed up for the holiday (Gramma Sheri sent the darling turkey outfit)
I couldn't choose just one pic, she just kills me---she's so sweet and cute!
We had an AMAZA-ZING meal for Thanksgiving! Mmmmmm, my mouth is watering just remembering it.
(It was spent with Mikal & Jenn, Chris, Maddie (Chris' girlfriend), Hayley, Claire, and their friends the Sopps. We missed Bryce who stayed in Utah with his girlfriend)
The weather was gorgeous- so warm! It was crazy to see Mikal in shorts and a t-shirt....we're still not used to a warm Thanksgiving. After dinner, we went on a walk to work off a little of those 30,000,000 calories and I just loved these trees- looks like they're on fire!
Beautiful gals on Thanksgiving night post-naps!
(Maddie & Sara, Hayley, Claire)
On Friday, we woke up to a delicious breakfast which is something I LOVE about Mike & Jenn's house. Mikal makes breakfast almost every morning and it's so good. We relaxed and played games, and then later while the guys went golfing, the gals took the kids to the park. Again, shorts? T-shirt? Weird...
That night, we had Chinese take-out (yum!) and then saw the movie Frozen which we all loved and have been singing the songs from ever since. (Seriously, like Rob, Drake, and I all have them memorized)
Saturday, the family let us come along with them for one of their annual traditions of picking and cutting down a Christmas tree- what a new adventure! Drake especially loved this, but got frustrated after awhile when no one agreed that we should cut down one of the 15 foot huge trees for the Hunsaker's living room. Eh, sorry, but no bud.
Saturday evening, we headed home and called it a fantastic weekend!
We always have the greatest time with this crew and are SO thankful that we got to spend Thanksgiving with them. Thanks for such a great time guys, and especially for your help with the kids! We love you!
