Beach Day on the Russian River

It was great to have Rob's parents here with us for a week last week. We didn't do much, but relax and enjoy their company. Nancy was so much help with the kids and the house. It was a much-needed reprieve for me. I'll write more and share some pictures of our week together in another post.

Since Rob had to work all week, it was nice when Saturday finally rolled around and we were able to go out and do something fun as a family. We've been wanting to check-out the beaches along the Russian River because we've heard great things about them. We headed just 20 minutes north of our house to this fun spot.
In some spots, it's shallow all the way across so you can imagine how much fun Drake had running around and throwing rocks. There were places it was a little deeper and he could swim too.
It was a hot, sunny day and we were glad Rob brought the shade for us all to relax under!
Sara zonked the whole time. Sweet baby.

Rocks to throw as far as the eye can see!
Sara always loved being in Grandma's arms.
We absolutely loved this place and will probably head here more often then going to the cold beach at the ocean! What a great find Rob!
