Snapshots with G&G Hunsaker

Rob's parents left us this week and we sure have missed them. They were the easiest and best house-guests! :) Nancy was SO much help to me and made me feel like I was on a vacation most of the time because she cooked and helped me clean and get some projects done around the house. We want them back!
We loved having a week with them all to ourselves. Because we used to live so close to them, we never had the chance to have that much time together in a week or to have them sleep over at our house. We loved it and we are working on talking them into moving here! (Wishful thinking?)

You've seen a few posts on the fun we had while they were here, but here's some final snapshots of the rest of our time together.

Claire's dance recital last Saturday was so much fun to attend! She was beautiful to watch. We saw her in two ballets and then in several jazz/contemporary numbers. We finished the night off with FroYo and G&G heading to our house to stay for the week

On Sunday, Grandpa and Drake wasted no time in getting reacquainted!

Monday night (after Golden Gate Park) we ate at a delicious restaurant called FISH. Can you guess what they serve? It was so quaint to sit on the water and enjoy dinner.
What a beautiful evening with a beautiful couple.

Tuesday morning, we took Grandpa to a giant tractor junkyard. haha! It was really cool! It's this farm that's out in the country that is just full of old tractors- I mean hundreds! As we walked around, we met the owner of the place and he gave us a little tour. He took us in his shed that was full of all sorts of things he's collected over the years worth a lot of money. It was a pretty neat place! I think Drake & Grandpa's highlight was definitely the tractors though!
This tree on his farm is incredible-

Wednesday while Rob worked, I took everyone to Howarth Park. We went on a hike/walk around two lakes- it was something I've been wanting to do for awhile. We ended up walking about 3.5 miles (big accomplishment for my pregnant body), then picnicked and, of course, fed the duckies!
If you look below on the left, this mother goose had just had 5 little goslings. They looked like they had been born that very day. It was adorable to watch them.
Howarth Park is definitely one of our favorite places around here-

Friday night, we were going to go to the temple, but Rob got a stomach bug, so instead G&G and I took Drake to Scandia for a fun night!

Grandma and Grandpa are the greatest with Drake and always play with him and make time for him. And Rob and I just love being around them. They bring a very special spirit into our home.
We are so thankful for them taking the time to come see us and our new home! Love you both!
