We were able to do a three-way Skype so that all of us could talk to him at once--Hunter and us in California and the rest of the family in Utah.

At Christmas, Hunter seemed a tad quieter and reserved, but this time was so much fun. It was just like old times! We spent the whole time laughing and chatting and catching up and it was just so perfect. 

Elder Payne is doing fantastic in Northern California and it's so amazing to hear him tell stories about his mission and to see how much he has matured and grown spiritually. I'm so proud of him!!!

We miss him dearly, but we are so thankful for his service and sacrifice and the blessings that it is bringing our family. One year down, one more to go!
