Las Vegas for Celine!

I went to Vegas for a girl's trip at the first of August (3rd-5th) and haven't blogged it yet. This post is completely overwhelming me because I have so many pictures of this trip. When a bunch of silly girls get together, they take lots of pictures. haha. Here we go!

I've got to give a little background here on this trip so you don't think I'm a complete vacation-aholic (which I have been accused of because it's pretty true this summer- haha):
My mom and I were sitting at the my aunt's pool on July 24th and my aunt and cousin were telling us all about their recent trip to see Celine Dion in concert in Las Vegas. My mom said she couldn't wait to take all of our family someday. That's when my aunt said, "Well she's done at the end of August. She's retiring!"
We were all so sad. Seeing Celine is on my Bucket List. We absolutely love her in our family and I've grown up singing her music. My mom had this crazy idea to plan a spur of the moment trip to go see her in Vegas. My sister Staci jumped on the idea of coming and we invited my cousin Brooke (like my older sister) to come too since she has wanted to see Celine for so long. Since, you know, I haven't been ANYWHERE this summer and am just so vacation deprived (ha.), there was no way that I was going to give up this once in a lifetime opportunity. I didn't have anything at all planned that weekend and my dad and younger sister said they'd love to watch Drake- so WE DID IT!

We drove to Vegas on Friday and drove home on Sunday.
It was one of the funnest trips I've ever been on with the greatest company ever!

The drive there was truly So. Much. Fun.
To summarize: My mom, my sister Staci, my cousin Brooke, and I, 8 hours in the car, lots of Diet Coke, belting Celine Dion music at the top of our lungs, and laughing and giggling like little girls. So fun!

We got to Vegas at about 7pm Friday night. My mom & dad wanted us to have a great Vegas experience (since it was Staci & I's first time there) and so they put us up in the newest hotel- the Aria. Wow! I've never seen such a high-class place. Pretty special.
Hotel entrance and wall with falling water that went from the left side of the entrance to where I was standing when I took the picture below on the left. It was so pretty and relaxing to listen to.
Sweet architectural designs in the hotel.
View of the strip from our hotel room-
After our long drive there, we got ready for a nice dinner. Night view of the strip from our room-
Mall next to the hotel with stores that I could never dream of affording (or want to, I like a deal!).
Dinner at a Wolfgang Puck restaurant- delicious!
Walking down the strip and most definitely keeping our eyes away from the ground-
(agh! The rumors were true and I was a little shocked!)
Vegas is full of some gross stuff, but it's quite beautiful and interesting too!
Water show at the Bellagio-
Saturday, we slept in and then spent the afternoon relaxing at the pool. The pools were gorgeous!
Can you guess what's playing on my Ipod? CELINE, of course!
This is the life.
We blasted some more Celine in our room while getting ready that night. We were all so excited! Like butterflies in my stomach excited! Or 15 exclamation points excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was this really happening?!
(Yes, that's how much we love her)
The concert was at Caesar's Palace so we did some exploring around their hotel mall and then had dinner at a restaurant there.
Caesar's Palace is incredibly gorgeous! There is so much stuff in there!
Then came the big event!
Two blurry pictures inside the theater and then the cameras had to be turned OFF.
I don't even know how to put into words how good this concert was. It was an amazing experience. From the moment the first note escaped Celine's mouth, I was in tears. All of us were. It was just incredible to be in the same room with someone who I consider to be the greatest singer of all time. We sang all the songs, didn't want it to end, and honestly cried through the whole concert. We laugh about it now- we were all a bunch of babies! It was incredible!

After dinner, we headed back to the restaurant we went to for dinner. This restaurant was known for their chocolate (can't remember the name), but we were all so stuffed from dinner, that we didn't have time nor room for dessert before the concert. So we decided to come back after the concert to try out this famed chocolate. It was so good, we ate too much, and we were being extremely immature and silly- awesome memories!
We had to end the trip by stuffing ourselves with more amazing food (of course) so we hit the hotel buffet before heading home. This buffet was the best I've ever had!
This crab was unreal!

Yep, tried it all. And these weren't the kind of desserts that look beautiful, but taste disgusting. They were all so good!
I'm realizing that I talk so much about the food and take so many pictures of the food I eat on my trips. Oh dear! Hmm...is this normal or am I just in love with good food? haha :)

NO, we did NOT stuff pastries in my mom's bag for the ride home! What are you accusing me of!? :)
This is Lindsay, Staci, and Brooke and we are all food-a-holics.
On our way out, we found this neat candy/cake/pastry shop in the hotel that is some famous chef's store. The chef made this entire display out of chocolate.
And check out the sweet cakes. Then, once last picture before the trip home.
My parents are truly incredible. I can't believe they took us on yet another fun trip. I had such a wonderful time with these girls that I love and look up to and I'm so glad Brooke came with us. She is truly like my big sister and I love her and her family so much. What a fun memory for the record books!!

And here's some bloopers to end this post-
