BOO---YA!!!!!

Feeling so EMPOWERED this morning!!!

A few months ago, I could not run straight for 2 minutes (no joke) and today I ran for a whopping
20 MINUTES!!!

I still have a long way to go to reach my goal, but I am still so happy about this!
Today was the first day that I truly enjoyed running. I've gotten little tastes of enjoyment the last 5 weeks as I've been training, but I really loved it today. After about 10 minutes, I suddenly got this burst of energy and felt great the rest of the way. It was a really awesome feeling!

I do realize that this is just a small step...Finally though, instead of thinking "I can't run", "I'm a terrible runner", or "this is way too hard",
I'm now thinking-
"I CAN become a runner"

Wahoo!!!

(And all you amazing runners who read this, please don't laugh out loud at this post- gotta celebrate the small accomplishments in life right?!)

Linds, that is so awesome! I love those little bursts of "I can totally do this!" that come along. It gives you just enough motivation to keep working every day.

I am ultra impressed that you felt this on the treadmill, too. I can run for quite a long time straight outside, but the time just ticks away so slowly for me on the treadmill.

Anyway, BOO-YAH is right!!!

Yay Lindsay that is awesome! I really need to get back into running... and your post is inspiring me to do it! I loved the end when you said "I can be a runner"! When I was training before having Pais I posted on my mirrors just that... "I am a runner" then when I saw it before I left I really felt it! Good Luck running!!!
