I'm gonna sleep like a dog tonight...

The expression "I'm gonna sleep like a baby" makes absolutely no sense. My dog sleeps through anything, so I'm "gonna sleep like a dog" tonight!

Anyways, WHAT A GREAT DAY!!!

After my awesome run this morning, Rob and I spent the day outside working in our yard (wow, didn't realize how much work it was going to be when we moved in!). 

We worked....and worked....and WORKED...

We ended the day with a fire in our backyard. The firepit is going to be a favorite this summer, I'm sure of it!

We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows.

It was so relaxing.

I came into the house tonight smelling like sweat, dirt, and campfire- yum.

Drake's bathwater was dirty, grassy, and marshmallowy.

I put jammies on him and he pointed at his crib so I laid him down and he passed out- totally out of the norm for him. He worked hard too today!

I vacuumed and mopped the dirty floor.

Finally, I took a most amazing hot shower to wash off all the grime.

Now, I'm just relaxing and looking forward to the Sabbath tomorrow and a day of rest.

Work is so good for the body and the soul!

I love days like this when you can barely keep your eyes open at 10pm!

 Drake went to town on the smore! By the end, he had it everywhere.
He was so cute tonight. He sat in this chair eating and eating and hardly moved- he was pretty tuckered out!

 If you are wondering who that guy by the campfire above is, it's our awesome nephew Chris!

You might remember him from my Easter post when we went to California for his mission homecoming.
He's home from Brazil and came out to Utah to work for the summer. He'll be attending Utah State in the fall, but for now, we are so lucky to have him living with us for the summer!

It's been really great having him here!
