Weekend in El Dorado

El Dorado Hills sounds like the most exotic place doesn't it!
We headed there this last weekend to spend time with the family. Chris & Hayley came home from USU for Spring Break and we wanted to go visit the fam. Mikal & Jenn are always so accommodating and we just love their house. It's like a home away from home.

When, we first got there, Mikal came rolling in this baby and offered to take Drake on a ride.
Look at that smile!!!
Sara was so afraid of Bueller at first. I mean terrified. She constantly just stared at her and jumped whenever she'd come by. With Uncle Mikal's help, they were able to warm up a little to each other though. And Sara got big-time kisses from Bue!
We all wanted to get out of the house and enjoy the nice weather on Saturday. Everyone was sweet to do what Drake wanted to do and go to the Jump Zone to play. Sara and I spent most of the time in the bathroom cleaning up a giant blow-out (hers, not mine. haha), but we all had fun and got in on some great dodge-ball games.
Then, we packed a lunch and enjoyed a picnic on the river in Coloma, where everyone spent most of the time seeing who could skip a rock the farthest. Drake was hilarious just lobbing them in as hard and as high as he could.
In Coloma, we went to the Marshall Gold Discovery Park. It was so cool!
An outdoor museum with lots of history about the gold rush.
We thought Drake would love panning for gold, but he thought it was a complete bore. Rob & I and the girls had a lot of fun doing it. Super frustrating, but really exciting when you find gold. We left with 8 pieces about the size of a crumb- maybe 25 cents worth.
The museum was really fun and Drake mostly loved just running around the park. We just love our family so much and love spending time together! (we missed seeing Bryce, but he was with his girlfriend recovering from surgery)

Jail-break!
Claire has just one year of high school left and then she'll be off like her older siblings. :(
I just love everything about Claire and especially her sweetness with my two kiddos.
Sunday, we relaxed, attended church, relaxed more, then had a yummy prime rib dinner before heading it home. It was a fun, quick weekend with the fam! Thanks again for having us Hunsakers!
