Emergency kit for a car

This is a really random post, but I wanted to share something really great!

I'm over the Relief Society activities in my ward and we recently had an emergency preparedness night. We learned CPR and also put together EMERGENCY KITS for our cars.
I'm so excited with how they turned out that I had to share on my blog for anyone who might want to do the same!
In preparing and putting the items together for the kits for our ward, I discovered that the dollar store has tons of awesome items for $1 each to put together a simple, basic kit for a car in case of an emergency.
Almost everything pictured below was purchased at the dollar store and then, I just added some things from around the house (to personalize mine) that would be good to have in case of an emergency (diapers, thermometer, cash, snacks, pen). Everything easily fits into a small clear shoebox container that I also purchased at the dollar store. I made one for both mine and Rob's cars and they now live in our trunks.
This project was SO easy and SO inexpensive and seriously took a tiny bit of my time, so I wanted to share it with all my friends and family out there.
Just run to your local dollar store and purchase these items, then throw in a few things from around the house that you might want for an emergency if you were to be stuck or stranded in your car.
It's already come in handy for us!
