Rob and I were married 8 YEARS AGO!
Wow! We are getting very close to 10.
Ever since our 5 year anniversary, I feel like the years since have just flown. Guess that's what happens with little kiddos around.
This last year of marriage has been a really great one for us. A year ago, we had been living in California for only about 3 months. So, really, we spent this whole last year of our marriage getting to know this new place and being on our own out here. It's been a challenge at times, but mostly the greatest blessing! I don't think we've been closer and it's really been wonderful. I'm so thankful for Rob and the life that we have created together. We aren't perfect by any means, but we both try hard to be the best spouses and parents that we can. I love you sweetie! Thanks for choosing me 8 years ago and taking me to the temple to be yours forever. Muah!
I had to work for our actual anniversary on the 2nd so we weren't able to celebrate that day. So, with Drake in Utah with his grandparents since Friday, we saw this last weekend as a perfect opportunity to celebrate our anniversary and go on a little weekend getaway. Napa Valley it is!
It rained the whole time- like seriously downpour. That's okay, though. We've been praying for rain in this drought, so we couldn't exactly complain about it. We didn't let it ruin the day and enjoyed a beautiful, foggy drive through Napa and then a delicious lunch at this Italian restaurant.
Then we checked into our hotel at 2:30pm. We considered going out that night or going to a movie, but with the rain and the utter exhaustion we both are experiencing with our busy life lately, instead we stayed in, ordered take-out, and just had a fabulous relaxing time together.

I should have taken a picture of Sara during the night when she was up every 1-2 hours! Little stinker! No worries though, we still had a great time celebrating our 8th anniversary!
