I feel like Drake's vocabulary (baby talk) has really exploded over the last week. He is getting better at repeating what we say and will try to say new words here and there. He really has to be in the mood to talk though. He can easily say:
Dad
Mom (sometimes, but has NEVER said it to me. I wish he'd make that connection)
Shushu (Sasha our dog)
Hot (in a hushed whisper-darling!)
Owie (and he hits his head with his hand when he says this)
Uh-oh
Dog
Rarr-Rarr
Hewwo (Hello)
Kitty
He makes car and tractor noises.
He yells "Lalalala" all the time.
He also makes funny noises with his tongue.
Most impressive to us is how well he seems to be understanding what we are saying lately.
He understands so many words and commands (sounds like I'm talking about a dog! haha).
Sometimes, it feels like I can actually have a small, baby conversation with him. So fun!
He is doing very well at pointing at things especially when he wants something.
He can point at dad's eye, nose, and ear.
He can also point at a horse, rar-rar, dog, kitty, and tractor in several books.
I think he's a whole lot smarter than he puts out sometimes.
Like tonight, when he kept pointing at his sippy cup and I'd hand it to him, only for him to set it back on the counter. Then he'd point at it again and I'd hand it to him and he'd set it back on the counter and laugh at me.
Little stinker!

Miss cute Linds! I just realized how close in age our two little men are- not sure why I never put that one together. :) McKay was born October 12. When is Drake's bday? He is a cute little guy. :)
Oh how I love those first bits of conversation. He is a smart little man!
And we call the game you described at the end there "The Idiot Game." It's always been a favorite of each of my toddlers! :)
It's crazy how fast they grow! He's grown since the last post! I hope I get to see him while I'm in Utah and hear this baby talk! :)
Don't forget that he said my name!!! "Tadie", it was so cute!
Okay, the last picture is my FAVORITE! That little grin is so adorable. It's so fun to hear about all of his accomplishments!
