We had the most amazing experience on our flight to Utah for Grandma Payne's funeral. Our pilot recognized a mom flying by herself with 2 kids, one of those being a cute blonde-haired boy who loves airplanes. The pilot pulled Drake aside and gave him "wings" to pin on his t-shirt, told Drake he needed help in the cockpit and invited him up to look around, and gave him a map to follow as we flew to Utah. As if that wasn't enough, he then announced over the intercom as we were taking off- "A special thanks to my new friend Drake for helping prepare the plane for take-off. Thanks Drake!" Drake was beaming! Bet you can guess what he wants to be when he grows up now. What an amazing flight and pilot. Thanks Delta!
