Rob is coaching the Bear River junior varsity basketball team this year. He's been involved in coaching for Bear River for the last several years, so you'd think by now I'd be used to how it feels to give my husband up to his all-time favorite sport this time of year, but it just doesn't get any easier. He'll be driving 30 minutes to Tremonton everyday for practice Mon, Tues, & Thurs and then be involved in coaching games all afternoon/evening on Wednesday & Friday. Don't get me wrong- I LOVE BASKETBALL and watching Rob coach is amazing! He seriously has a gift. He has a way of connecting with the youth and really having a lasting impact on their lives. He loves and cares about each of the boys and he loves coaching his favorite game. We had such an amazing experience last year becoming involved in these boys lives and watching them succeed. And I'm so thankful that right now we're in a place in our lives where he is able to coach.
If only our planning had been a "little" bit better- having our first baby in the middle of the season probably was the greatest idea! But we'll get through it and we'll be better off for it. I'm so thankful for my husband, Robert. He is SO busy right now with finishing up school, working constantly, and now starting basketball. I hope he knows how proud I am of him!
GO BEARS!!!

That is so exciting about Robert coaching. It takes a pretty special person to be a great coach and I am sure Robert is one of them! I can't wait to hear how the team is doing. It sounds like he is VERY busy with the basketball season, I'm sorry! Hang in there. Do you at least get into the games for free!? :) How are you feeling? I am so excited for you guys!
Go Bears!!! I'll stay home from any of the home JV games to tend baby Hito!!! You can go watch Rob, and then we'll tag team it for the varsity!!!
Good luck! :) Call me if you get lonely or need somone to take you to the hospital! :)
And I never called to get us together beforehand! Sorry!
Well, you've got a place to be when you're all alone with that cute boy and Rob is off coaching. Come hang with us (day or night or both!).
Lindsay,
This is Dani Allen(wife of Trevor Allen from the 3 Men and a Shovel days). I stumbled onto your blog the other day. We haven't seen you guys forever and I was so excited to find out you guys are expecting, congrats! We are due March 5th, so just a couple of months later. I told Trevor I found your blog and now he says we should all get together sometime, so tell Rob hi from him. I don't know if Trevor and Rob still have each other's #'s. But, mine is 757-9516. You guys should give us a call we'd love to hang out. Congrats again!
Dani
So sorry, it's hard having hubby gone, but your're right, you will get through it. That's great that he's coaching, I'm sure he'll do great. the costume for your dog was hilarious and I laughed outloud at the cell phone pictures. What a good sport. Oh, by the way, you are not WAY too pregnant, in fact, you barely look pregnant...you look so great!
Good coaches are few and far between. They are lucky to have him! Thanks for sacrificing and I'm sure he'll prioritize the best he can. After all, look at that beautiful wife and baby he has to come home to!
Oh I can't even imagine! At least you will have a darling little boy to keep you company at games! :) I can't wait to see him!! It is coming so fast!
Wow! You are such a supportive wife. Everything will work out just fine. Hopefully you have a nice easy baby that sleeps alot. Rob will probably have a hard time leaving that little guy! It's amazing to see how much daddies love their sons and they are so infatuated with them!
Hope this last little while of pregnancy goes okay for you. Not gonna lie--the last month is the worst! You look soooo good.
